CRM, Certified Information Governance Officer (CRM, CIGO)
ICRM – CIGOA Partnership Ends
CIGOA informed the ICRM they planned to terminate the partnership agreement for the CRM/CIGO designation. The agreement has now ended. No new CRM/CIGO certifications will be processed. Current CRM/CIGOs should replace “CRM/CIGO” with “CRM, CIGO.”
There are two changes affecting the continuing certification process.A CRM, CIGO is responsible for:
- Paying any membership or maintenance fees billed to them by CIGOA, as well as their CRM annual dues
- Tracking and reporting CMPs as each organization requires
The ICRM is working on an alternative benefit for completing both certifications. Once this has been decided, an announcement will be made.
